(WFRV) – The Packers made their second trade of the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday, this time moving up to the final pick of the 6th Round by trading their 7th Rounders to draft a kicker.
After years of inconsistency at the position and a frustrating performance by kicker Brandon McManus in their season ending wild card round loss to Chicago, the Packers seem ready to add to an ongoing youth movement with Florida’s Trey Smack.

The 22-year-old Gators kicker made 100 out of 101 extra point attempts in three years down in Gainsville, while hitting 10-13 from 50+, including a career long of 56.
He went 53-64 throughout college, good for 82.8%, and he’s the second special teams player to come off the board after the Ravens took Michigan State punter Ryan Eckley at No. 211 overall.
