SOMERS, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in southern Wisconsin say there were no reported injuries and only minimal damage seen following a confirmed tornado in the area.
‘Worse than yesterday’: Second day of flood risk throughout northeast Wisconsin
According to a release from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, the National Weather Service confirmed the Village of Somers was hit on Tuesday by an EF-1 tornado, which had estimated wind speeds of about 105 to 110mph.
Officials say injuries have been reported following the tornado, and damage throughout the village appears to be minimal.

Deputies, along with other local agencies and public works crews, responded quickly following the tornado to assess the area’s conditions and to help ensure the safety of the community.
Following the tornado, officials with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office encourage residents to remain alert during any additional severe weather and to be sure to report any hazards or damages that may follow.
