NEW LONDON, Wis. (WFRV) – In a continued showing of community support for New London amidst historic flooding, an antique store says its call for help reached plenty of people.
Water Street Vintage, LLC, based in New London, said via the owners’ daughter, Katie, that they needed help to move stuff to higher ground after floodwaters broke through the storefront.

“Katie here, posting on behalf of my parents because they are good people who don’t like to ask for help,” the post said. “With more rain tonight, we are trying to do what we can to move things to higher ground.”

The post added that the biggest need was to help lift furniture or provide any sort of bags, bins or totes for ease.
However, in just under two hours, Katie told Local 5 that they had a plethora of assistance already on hand, showcasing yet again how the flooding has brought out the kindest gestures across northeast Wisconsin.
