SHIOCTON, Wis. (WFRV) – Residents in the Shiocton area are being asked to evacuate as major flooding concerns are impacting the community, with additional rainfall expected in the coming days.
A public safety alert sent to Shiocton residents around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, states that Village residents are being asked to evacuate.

As water continues to rise, mandatory evacuation will be enforced. Shelter is open in Black Creek, 507 South Maple Street. Take pets, pills, purse and phones,” the alert reads.
The President of the Village of Shiocton has issued a large scale evacuation for all Shiocton residents until further notice. Residents in the Village limits should be evacuated by 3 p.m. on April 15. The water is rising fast and only expected to get worse in the next couple days. We are monitoring the situation and will keep residents informed. If you do not evacuate, we will likely not be able to assist you.
