WEYAUWEGA, Wis. (WFRV) – Residents of Weyauwega are once again being asked to evacuate and should prepare to leave immediately as conditions are changing after the heavy rain and more on the way.
A Facebook post from the Weyauwega Area Fire Department sent out a new release on Wednesday afternoon, stating that residents in the previously affected area are being asked to evacuate again.
“Conditions have changed, and the situation continues to evolve,” the Facebook post reads. “Even if you returned home after the last notice, you should prepare to leave immediately.”

Residents have been provided the following information:
- This is a precautionary but serious measure for your safety
- Road access may become limited or unsafe with little warning
- Consider your evacuation route—will you need to pass through low-lying areas?
- If you have mobility concerns or may need extra time, do not delay
Residents are being asked to stay with family, friends, or at a safe location until the threat has passed. The Waupaca County Emergency Management will be setting up in New London; however, a location is yet to be determined.
