(WFRV) – The Green Bay Habitat for Humanity is applauding and celebrating Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers’ signing of State Assembly Bill 454.
‘Numerous’ streets in Clintonville flooding, traveling not advised
State Assembly Bill 454, otherwise known as the Workforce Home Loan Program, expands access to affordable homeownership for working families throughout the state of Wisconsin. Officials say the bill provides a zero-interest loan program, helping bridge down payments.
Today is an important day for Wisconsin and for families who work hard every day but still struggle to find a place to call home. On behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin and our 29 local affiliates, such as the one here in Green Bay, I’m proud to stand here as we mark an important step forward, expanding access to affordable housing across the state.
