GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – Residents in Grand Chute are coming together to try and battle to save a beloved local roller hockey rink.
The rink was built in Grand Chute’s Patriot Park in 1997, and thousands of children throughout the years are said to have grown up going there to play hockey.

City officials say those decades of use have led to the rink falling into disrepair. The current town capital improvement plan for 2026-2030 asks officials to remove the roller rink and replace it with batting cages and ball field storage areas.
Ultimately we have to do what’s best for our residents here, so we’ll have to look into it a little bit further, figure out exactly how we’re going to break that up and potentially have some more meetings, have some more social media outreach to try and gather some some of that information and just make sure we do what’s best for the town
