The Latest from Storm Team 5…
Tornado watch from earlier was allowed to expire at 10pm and was replaced by a severe thunderstorm watch until 4am Tuesday morning. There is a threat still for a strong to severe thunderstorm especially south of Green Bay producing hail, damaging wind and downpours. Tornado threat has lowered but is still not zero.
The main concern right now is heavy rain. Thunderstorms have been training over a line from Shawano to Clintonville over to Green Bay and Kewaunee. We have been getting many reports of flooding and more will likely be incoming overnight. Some could pick up an additonal 2-3″ of rain especially in southern WI. Be very cautious if you see water on roadways or live near a creek or stream.
Early fog is possible tomorrow morning, otherwise we turn partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the 50s and 60s. Another round of rain and storms is in the forecast for tomorrow evening primarily south of Green Bay. A few storms could be strong to severe presenting a damaging wind, hail and downpour threat. There is a low end tornado threat in southern Wisconsin.
More rain and storms are possible are possible Wednesday late into Thursday. This should not be strong to severe.
We finally get a dry period Thursday afternoon through Friday evening before another round of rain moves in Friday night into early Saturday.
