SISTER BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A brush fire that burned through roughly 15 acres was contained in Door County on Saturday afternoon.
Around 12:55 p.m., crews were called to reports of a fast-moving brush fire on Hill Road in Sister Bay, according to the Sister Bay & Liberty Grove Fire Department.
The fire was determined to have started from a permitted controlled burn that spread beyond its intended area. A homeowner near the scene was the one who reported the fire.
The fire was brought under control around 2 p.m., and all units left around 4:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
