MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say one man in Wisconsin will spend the next three years behind bars after being recently sentenced for trafficking marijuana.
According to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Wisconsin, the Federal Bureau of Investigation received a tip in June 2025 indicating that 23-year-old Dejaun Angelo from Madison had posted racist and violent threats on “X” targeting Jews and African Americans.
A search warrant obtained and carried out at Angelo’s near-eastside Madison apartment found 19.5 pounds of marijuana, 423 grams of hashish, 1,500 grams of hashish oil, and numerous firearms. Authorities also found hundreds of ammunition boxes in a rented storage unit.

A continued investigation found that Angelo was believed to operate a cannabis company and regularly sold marijuana throughout the community. Angelo pled guilty to possessing marijuana with intent to deliver in court on November 19, 2025.
Angelo was sentenced to three years in federal prison on March 31, 2026, with the judge expressing concern about his hateful online comments, noting that it was fortunate that police stopped Angelo “before he went further.”
Following the three years spent in federal prison, Angelo will serve four years of supervised release.
