MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – The man charged with homicide for the fatal shooting of Milwaukee Police Officer Kendall Corder learned his fate on Friday afternoon after jury deliberation.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, Tremaine Jones was convicted by a jury on all counts:
- 1st-Degree Intentional Homicide
- Attempted 1st-Degree Intentional Homicide
- 1st-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
- Possession of Short-barreled Shotgun/Rifle.

Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher McCray, the partner of Officer Corder, was also shot during the ambush shooting on June 26, 2025.
Officer McCray was non-fatally wounded and recovered, while Officer Corder died from injuries a few days after the shooting.
Law enforcement agencies across the state turned out for the funeral.
