TOMAH, Wis. (WFRV) – Following nine years of dedicated service, police in Wisconsin say K9 Viktor is officially retiring.

In a post on social media from the Tomah Police Department, K9 Viktor is said to have been committed to serving the City of Tomah, and that was shown through his 686 deployments in several types of incidents.
Officers with the Tomah Police Department say K9 Viktor showed unwavering loyalty, discipline, and courage in every situation, and while he is a highly skilled and dependable working dog, they add that K9 Viktor was also known for his playful, friendly, and approachable nature, making him a favorite amongst the department and the local community.
Paired with one Lieutenant Perkins, K9 Viktor and his handler made what was said to be a great team that helped to serve the Tomah community and assisted in situations for other various jurisdictions when called upon.
