ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials with Ashwaubenon Public Safety and De Pere Fire Rescue teamed up today to rescue a four-legged troublemaker on Friday.
According to a release, crews were called to rescue a dog that decided to venture out onto thin ice in an effort to capture a squirrel.

The dog fell through the ice and got stuck in the water, as crews quickly rushed in with specialized gear to rescue the furry hunter.
The dog was quickly warmed up and dried off before the owner reclaimed their dog without any injuries.
