The latest from Storm Team 5…
The weekend is just on the horizon and after a partly cloudy Friday night comes an eventful Saturday as your snow system arrives. To first address the snow we have a winter storm warning in effect until 4pm on Monday and a winter weather advisory that expires 10am Sunday but will be replaced by a winter storm watch. The affected counties can be found below.

The winter storm that extends from Saturday night into Monday afternoon will experience long durations of heavy snow and wintry mix. Winds will also approach blizzard criteria as wind speeds can reach to 45+ mph. Areas in the Northwoods can expect to see snow accumulations in the 18-24″ range. A 12-18″ range will affect areas shaded in purple, a band from Kewaunee to southern lake Winnebago and to the west. These bands become tighter south of here with 6-12″ affecting our southern counties and areas south of Sheboygan only receiving 3-6″.
Storm Team 5 will continue around the clock coverage for this event on our streaming app WFRV+, on air, and on social media as well.

People are urged to prepare for effects from this snow storm which can include reducing travel, preparing for power outages , etc.
Following the weekend of snow we see Tuesday cold but sunny. Daytime highs reach around the lower 20s. Wednesday brings warmer temps reaching the upper 30s but light snow is a factor. Thursday will be slightly warmer once again reaching into the 40s but skies will be mostly cloudy. Friday has another chance for flurries with daytime highs just under 40 degrees.
