KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) – An Illinois man faces a first-degree intentional homicide charge along with multiple other charges stemming from a fatal shooting in Kenosha on November 21, 2025.
Federal lawsuit filed against Oconto Falls schools, school district releases statement
According to Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney, 22-year-old Kamryn Harris of the northern Illinois suburb Zion had made an initial appearance on Wednesday in court, as his cash bond was set at $2 million for the following charges:
- First-Degree Intentional Homicide
- Attempted Homicide
- First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
- Felon in Possession of a Firearm

A preliminary hearing is set for April 2 at 10:15 a.m., as Toney will serve as the special prosecutor for the trial, due to a predetermined conflict of interest, with the following information given via the release:
“District Attorney Toney agreed to assist the Kenosha Police Department with any legal questions or search warrants during the initial days of the investigation. Based on DA Toney’s familiarity with the investigation, he later agreed to take the special prosecution assignment.”
