GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Packers are moving on from one of their prominent defensive starters, as reports are showing Rashan Gary is being traded to the Cowboys.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Green Bay is finalizing a deal that will send Gary to Dallas in exchange for a 2027 4th-round draft pick.

Gary made headlines going into the weekend after a post from Gary’s personal social media account was believed to be a goodbye to Green Bay and Packer fans. A report later claimed that Gary’s Instagram had been hacked.
Gary was drafted by the Packers with the 12th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft. He has spent all 7 seasons of his career so far as a member of the Green Bay Packers.
In 106 career games, Gary has recorded 271 total tackles, 111 quarterback hits, 46.5 sacks, 46 tackles for a loss, and 7 forced fumbles. He was selected to the NFL’s Pro Bowl Games following the 2024 regular season.
