(WFRV) – Riverview Gardens mission is to build dignity through job training and employment.
Programs assist participants who face barriers to employment due to homelessness, mental health, drug addiction, justice involvement – or all of the above – by helping them to overcome those obstacles through job training in our social enterprises.
The non-profit recently received a $10,000 grant from the The Jacques Pépin Foundation to grow the successful culinary training program. It provides hands-on learning with an experienced chef instructor, life skills and barrier identification, coaching and teamwork as well as job placement assistance. The program is approved by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association.
Millaine Wells spoke with a few students about how this partnership is a recipe for success.
