GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Green Bay Phoenix women’s basketball standouts swept the Horizon League’s top honors Monday, with Jenna Guyer named Player of the Year and Kayla Karius earning Coach of the Year.
The awards, voted on by the league’s head coaches, recognize Green Bay’s dominant regular season in Horizon League play.

Guyer averaged 15.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in conference action while shooting 45.4% from the field. The versatile forward/guard recorded five 20-point performances against league opponents and played a key role in the Phoenix’s conference success.
Karius was named Coach of the Year after guiding Green Bay to a 17-3 record in Horizon League play, including a 15-game winning streak to open the conference schedule.
The Phoenix now turn their attention to the postseason, with the 2026 Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship beginning this week. The tournament will culminate with the semifinals and championship game March 8-10 at Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis.
