OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – A 35-year-old man was hospitalized on Saturday morning following a stabbing in Oshkosh that led multiple agencies to search and find the alleged suspect.
A release from the Oshkosh Police Department states that officers responded to the stabbing around 6:40 a.m. on February 28 in the 400 block of South Koeller Street.

Officers arrived and immediately provided medical treatment to the 35-year-old stabbing victim. He was later taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation led authorities to identify the suspect and the vehicle he allegedly fled in. With assistance from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the Neenah Police Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol, the suspect’s vehicle was found just north of Oshkosh.
After a brief pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody. He was later identified as a 41-year-old man from Oshkosh.

He was subsequently taken to the Winnebago County Jail for Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide and Domestic Disorderly Conduct.
Officers did note in the release that the victim and suspect knew each other and that there is no further risk to the public.
