Rosenthal reported on Thursday evening that Murphy has signed a new contract, a three-year deal keeping him with the club through 2028, with a club option for 2029.
Murphy took over after Craig Counsell left the Brewers for the Cubs as one of the most successful managers in franchise history. Murphy’s Brewers eliminated the Cubs in the 2025 NLDS.
