(WFRV) – It’s no secret that the Packers fanbase stretches around the world, with key fan bases in both Germany and Latin America.
While recent international games in Brazil and London have helped add to that popularity across the globe, Packers punter Daniel Whelan put in his own work in spreading the Cheesehead brand as he traveled to Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Whelan, who was born in Ireland, is spending time overseas making the Green & Gold more present as he visits several cities in Ireland and Great Britain to connect with fans.
There’s obviously a lot of similarities between Packers fans and, say, Newcastle United. Small town, hardworking area, die-hard fans. Like everybody’s just in on it. Like the whole town revolves around the sport, and it’s the same in Green Bay.
