GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Announced on Tuesday morning, Green Bay Packers 2025 first-round wide receiver Matthew Golden is now in partnership with two of the most trusted names in fishing and performance boating.
Crestliner Boats and Mercury Marine announced the new partnership, citing not only Golden’s elite athletic ability, but also his deep personal connection to the outdoor lifestyle.

While being raised on a ranch outside of Houston, officials say Golden grew up fishing and embraced the backroad culture that helped to shape his values on and off the field.
Fishing has always been part of who I am. I grew up on the water. It’s where I learned patience, focus, and appreciation for the outdoors. Partnering with Crestliner and Mercury Marine feels like a natural fit, and I can’t wait to get my Fish Hawk out on the lakes.

As part of the partnership, Golden will now run a Crestliner 2050 Fish Hawk that is said to be equipped with a 250HP Mercury Pro XS, a premier tournament‑ready fishing rig officials say is known for its durability, versatility, and unmatched engine performance.
In return, Golden’s Instagram following of more than 100,000 will provide Crestliner Boats and Mercury Marine with a meaningful digital reach.
Matthew embodies everything we value, including grit, integrity, and a genuine love for fishing and the outdoors. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the Crestliner family, and the Fish Hawk matches his passion for fishing and the outdoors.

The Mercury 250HP Pro XS powering Matthew’s Fish Hawk is engineered for competitors like him—agile, fast, and built to perform when it matters most. In his first year with the Packers, Matthew has proven himself to be a reliable and trusted wide receiver, and that dependability makes this partnership a natural fit. We’re excited to see him take that performance to the water.

Golden is also expected to make two appearances later this spring and summer, with those dates and details to be announced at a later time.
