The Latest from Storm Team 5…
After a quiet last few days, things begin to change as a system moving out of the plains will bring a round of rain with an icy mix up north beginning this evening and lasting through the mid morning hours tomorrow. A rumble of thunder is possible with this system as well!
The best chance for any frozen precipitation will be along and north of HWY 64, where the National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Langlade, northern Marinette, northern Oconto and Menominee Michigan counties from 9pm this evening though 12pm Wednesday.

Expect slippery travel into far nothern Wisconsin later tonight into tomorrow due to snow and ice accumulations. Best chance for accumulating snow will be north of a line from Stephenson to Wausaukee over to Lakewood where a few inches of snow looks possible.

A glaze to a 0.10″ of ice is also possible north of HWY 64, adding to the slippery travel potential with this system.

This rain and icy mix will continue north of Green Bay for the morning on Wednesday, likely tappering mid morning and allowing for some peaks of sunshine for Green Bay and the Fox Valley for the mid day hours. Areas that stay cloudy up north will only manage the 30s to low 40s, but a majority of the area will range from the mid 40s to low 50s in the afternoon. Another roudn of mixed showers is possible late afternoon and into the evening.
Thursday looks nice with highs topping out in the low to mid 40s under a mix of sunshine and clouds. Another system arrives Thursday night, starting out as rain, slowly changing to a rain and snow mix on Friday as the cool air arrives.
The weekend will be cooler and breezy, but more typical for this time of year falling into the 30s and eventually upper 20s by Monday.
