KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 15-year-old student at a Wisconsin high school was arrested Thursday morning after police said he had an active probation hold and was found in possession of firearm-related items.
According to the Kenosha Police Department, officers took the student from Bradford High School into custody around 10:30 a.m. The juvenile had an active probation hold detainer.

Prior to the arrest, officers received information that the student had allegedly been seen with a firearm off school grounds and that the weapon might be stored at his residence.
Police coordinated with school officials to locate the student. Officers responded to the school and safely detained the juvenile in a hallway to minimize disruption to school operations. A search was later conducted outside the school building.
During the search, officers located multiple firearm magazines and ammunition in the juvenile’s possession. Authorities conducted a thorough search of the school and surrounding grounds and said no additional contraband was found.

Investigators said they do not believe a firearm was brought onto school property.
