FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities arrested a fugitive with multiple felony warrants Wednesday following a 34-mile pursuit that ended in Washington County and led to the seizure of firearms and large quantities of drugs.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies observed the fugitive — who was considered armed and dangerous — entering a vehicle in the city of Fond du Lac. Deputies attempted a traffic stop near Interstate 41 and County Highway Y, but the vehicle initially slowed before fleeing at a high rate of speed.

The pursuit continued for approximately 34 miles. Deputies from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted by deploying tire deflation devices.
Authorities said the vehicle struck the devices twice. The pursuit ended when the driver entered the gore area at Interstate 41 and Highway 60 in Washington County.
Law enforcement conducted a high-risk traffic stop, taking both the driver and the fugitive passenger into custody without further incident. A firearm was located on the ground outside the vehicle, and additional ammunition was recovered from inside.
A joint investigation between the Fond du Lac Police Department and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office continued into the evening. Authorities reported seizing an additional firearm, nearly one-half pound of crack cocaine and more than four ounces of fentanyl.
The driver, who was on active supervision with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, was booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on additional felony charges.
The fugitive passenger was also booked into jail on multiple felony charges, including three counts of felony bail jumping. Authorities said the individual was out on bond in three separate Milwaukee County cases.

No injuries were reported. Two law enforcement vehicles sustained punctured tires from the tire deflation devices.
The investigation remains ongoing.
