(NEXSTAR) – Surveillance photos and videos related to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” host Savannah Guthrie who has been missing for more than a week, have been released by authorities.
The images come after authorities said no suspects or persons of interest in her disappearance had been identified.
“Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors — including the removal of recording devices,” FBI Director Kash Patel said in a post to X on Tuesday while sharing the evidence. “The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.”

The “previously inaccessible new images” were obtained Tuesday, and, according to Patel, show “an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.”
In another post, Patel shared short clips — which you can view at the top of this story — captured by the camera. The person can be seen approaching Guthrie’s front door before seemingly trying to block the camera with their hand. They then turn around and appear to grab a plant from the ground, then return to the camera and try to again block its view.

The doorbell camera was disconnected around the time Guthrie is believed to have been taken from her home. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office and Patel stopped short of referring to the individual seen in the video as a suspect or person of interest.
Savannah Guthrie also re-posted the images and video, writing in a post, “Someone out there recognizes this person.”
“We believe she is still out there. Bring her home,” Guthrie added.
Patel asked that anyone with information contact the FBI by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI or visiting the agency’s online tip site.
Nancy Guthrie has been missing more than a week
Nancy Guthrie was last seen on Jan. 31 at her home outside Tucson, Arizona. When she didn’t appear for church the next morning, her family was alerted. They reported her missing soon after, and the search for Nancy has continued ever since.

The 84-year-old needs daily medication because she is said to have high blood pressure and heart issues, including a pacemaker.
Authorities returned to Guthrie’s Tucson-area home over the weekend. Nexstar’s NewNation — which last week found blood outside Guthrie’s front door — also reported that a law enforcement presence was seen at the home of Annie Guthrie, Savannah’s sister, late Saturday night. Her home is located several miles away from her mother’s.
FBI says it’s unaware of Savannah Guthrie talking with her mom’s suspected kidnappers
Investigators were seen leaving with blue gloves and brown bags, and camera flashes could be seen through the shaded windows of Annie Guthrie’s home, according to NewsNation.
Guthrie was last seen when Annie’s husband, Tommaso Cioni, dropped her off at home. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos previously told The New York Times that Nancy Guthrie had been at dinner with her daughter and son-in-law on January 31.
The FBI this week began posting digital billboards in major cities from Texas to California.
Guthrie family agreed to pay ransom
Over the weekend, “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie and her siblings, Annie and Camron, said they would pay the ransom mentioned in notes sent to multiple news outlets. Savannah addressed her mother’s captors, begging for the return of her mother.
“This is the only way we will have peace,” she said.

However, on Monday, the FBI said it was “not aware of any continued communication between” the Guthrie family and Nancy’s suspected kidnappers. A deadline mentioned in at least one of the notes listed a time of 5 p.m. MST on Monday, Tucson-area outlet KGUN previously reported.

It’s also unclear if ransom notes demanding money with deadlines that have already passed were authentic, or whether the Guthrie family has had any contact with the abductors.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Savannah Guthrie appeared alone, and more bleak.
“We are at an hour of desperation,” she said, telling the public: “We need your help.”
