DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) — The West De Pere High School dance team was met with an outpouring of community support Thursday as students, staff and family members gathered for a special send-off ahead of the state competition.
Cheers and school spirit filled the halls as the team was celebrated before departing for state, marking a milestone moment for the program.

For the first time in school history, the team qualified for state in three routines — pom, kick and jazz. West De Pere enters the competition with a strong tradition, having earned 15 state titles overall.
The team is aiming to repeat championships in pom and kick while also making a strong showing in jazz.
