(WFRV) – Super Bowl LX is set to kick off in nearly two weeks, and while the Packers won’t be playing, two former front office members and former Wisconsin residents will be facing off.

John Schneider, the current general manager and president of football operations for the NFC Champions, the Seattle Seahawks, was born in De Pere and graduated from Abbot Pennings High School in 1989.
Schneider spent a few years in Green Bay as a scout from 1993 to 1996 and later returned to the Packers organization as the top personnel aide to the general manager from 2002 to 2007 and as the director of football operations from 2008 to 2009.

Eliot Wolf, the current executive vice president of player personnel and de facto general manager of the AFC Champions, the New England Patriots, graduated from the Notre Dame Academy in 2000.
Wolf is a long-time former front office member for Green Bay who was in Titletown from 2004 to 2017 and held positions of pro personnel assistant, assistant director of pro personnel, assistant director of player personnel, director of pro personnel, director of player personnel, and director of football operations.

He is also the son of Green Bay Packers and NFL Hall of Famer Ron Wolf, who was the Packers’ general manager from 1991 to 2000
We are thrilled to share that two of our alumni from our predecessor, Abbot Pennings and Notre Dame Academy, will be competing as General Managers in the Super Bowl! Although many of us wanted to see the Packers play, there is still something exciting to cheer about!

Schneider and Wolf will go head-to-head as general managers for their respective teams in Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8.
