GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – After former defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley left for a head coaching job, the Green Bay Packers have reportedly filled that vacancy with former Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Green Bay Packers are hiring Gannon to be their next defensive coordinator.

Gannon has been the Cardinals head coach since 2023. He finished with a record of 15-36 in Arizona during three seasons.
Before becoming the Cardinals head coach, Gannon spent two seasons (2021-2022) as the Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator, including the 2022 season that saw the Eagles win the NFC East, clinch the NFC’s #1 seed, and make a Super Bowl appearance. The Eagles would ultimately lose Super Bowl LVII to the Chiefs 38-35.
In Gannon’s time as Eagles DC, the team ranked 11th and 1st in passing defense, and 9th and 17th in rushing defense during the 2021 and 2022 seasons, respectively.
