According to Chadwick Elgersma, the Interim United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, Stephen Jenkins of Trempealeau was sentenced to 246 months in prison, with lifetime supervision after his release.
Officials found that Jenkins, a long-time friend of three child victims, sexually assaulted one of them. That victim found Jenkins’ iPad, which contained explicit images of the other two, and then reached out to family members for help.
Authorities eventually searched Jenkins’ home, locating hundreds of sexually explicit images of minors. Before assaulting the three minors in this case, Jenkins had been convicted of groping a 10-year-old boy and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy.

“Jenkins is a repeat child sex offender who represents a profound ongoing danger to children,” Interim U.S. Attorney Elgersma said via the release. “Our office is dedicated to prosecuting anyone who creates and circulates depictions of child sexual exploitation and violence.”
During sentencing, U.S. District Judge William Conley called Jenkins a serial predator who was calculated, manipulative and a danger to minors, citing Jenkins’ abuse of trust to groom and exploit children.
