An arctic cold front will move through the area and attract a round of very cold, dangerous air that will linger through the start of the weekend.
The front will pass by early in the evening, and tempratures will begin to fall after it does and winds could begin to gust up to 35mph. Temperatures will already be in the single digits below zero by 9 or 10pm. Lows tonight are expected to be in the range of -10 to -20 degrees, with wind chills between -35 and -45 degrees.
AN EXTREME COLD WARNING will begin at 9pm Thursday evening for Langlade county and at 12am Friday for the remaining counties. The warning will run until 6am Saturday morning. Frostbite is possible within 10-15 minutes to exposed skin.
Also make sure to limit time outdoors, bring pets inside, check in on relatives and makre sure to give yourself plenty of time if you do need to be out and about.

Highs on Friday will only manage to recover to between -5 and -10 in the afternoon. our first day below zero since January 31, 2019.
The strong wind will ease back Friday afternoon, but it will still be dangerously cold Saturday morning. Lows will fall back into teens below zero, with wind chills between -20 and -35. Highs on Saturday will top out around zero degrees.
Sunday looks mostly cloudy with highs around upper single digits ans low teens. Highs will remain below average this week, finally fighting our way closer to average to end the month of January.
