Besides a passing snow shower or flurry this evening, skies will clear to partly cloudy skies tonight. Winds will be under 10 mph to start, but will ramp up to 10-20mph after midnight. Lows will fall back into the single digits.
Thursday starts with a mix of sun and clouds, giving way to mostly cloudy skies throughout the day. There is a chance for a passing snow shower or flurry in some of those clouds. Highs will be notably cooler then today, topping out in the low teens with single digits up north.
An arctic cold front will pass through the area Thursday evening and will attract a round of dangerous cold air for Friday morning. Low temperatures will fall into the teens and twenties below zero. With a wind gusting 30-35mph, wind chills will fall as low as -35 to -45.
An EXTREME COLD WARNING has been issued for the area starting at midnight Friday through 1pm Friday afternoon. It is important in these conditions to dress in layers, limit time outdoors, check in neighbors and bring pets inside.

Highs on Friday will range from -5 to -10 with afternoon wind chills around -20 degrees.
The strong wind from earlier in the day on Friday should ease back during the evening, but it will still remain very cold with feel like temperatures 20 to 25 below zero on Saturday morning. Temperatures on Saturday will range from -10 to -15, with highs topping out around zero.
