TOMAH, Wis. (WFRV) – A 54-year-old western Wisconsin man was arrested for his alleged involvement in a deadly fentanyl overdose of a 28-year-old man back in August.
Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday that 54-year-old Harley Carlson of Tomah was arrested on Wednesday for 1st degree reckless homicide/deliver drugs.

The arrest stems from the drug overdose death of a 28-year-old man in Tomah. Based on the investigation, deputies allege that Carlson had sold fentanyl to another person who then had reportedly sold it to the victim.

Carlson is scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing on Friday.
The investigation into the incident was through the help of the Tomah Police Department, Holmen Police Department, and Monroe County Medical Examiner.
It was noted in the release that the investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests and charges may come in the future.
