(WFRV) – Following the weekend’s snowstorm, Wisconsin state troopers are reminding drivers to clear their vehicles completely of snow and ice for the safety of themselves and others.
According to a social media post from the Wisconsin State Patrol, a well-maintained vehicle is always important, especially following any major snowfall.

Drivers are being reminded to clear snow and ice from more than just their windshields, as they also need to clear the snow and ice from their windows, front and rear lights, hood, and roof.
Officials say clearing a vehicle completely of snow and ice not only helps the driver’s safety and visibility, but also keeps everyone else on the roadways safe by preventing snow blowing off a vehicle and reducing someone else’s visibility.
