FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – A ‘significant drug trafficker’ from southeastern Wisconsin was arrested during an I-41 traffic stop where deputies seized nearly two pounds of meth.
The incident began on August 7 when a deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office pulled a vehicle over on I-41 south for a moving violation. The driver was reportedly on parole for armed robbery and possession with intent to deliver heroin and had roughly $2,700 in cash on him.

However, with no other probable cause, the driver was released. But with I-41 being known as a common drug trafficking route between Milwaukee and northeastern Wisconsin by authorities, deputies continued to investigate any further illegal behavior.
Later that month, on August 27, the same vehicle and driver were stopped on I-41 north for another traffic violation. This time, a K9 gave a positive alert on the vehicle, leading to a search.
As a result of the search, deputies allegedly found roughly 1.8 pounds of methamphetamine, 8 grams of fentanyl, and around $1,800 in cash.
