KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) – School officials in Kaukauna held a groundbreaking ceremony for Haen Elementary School earlier on Wednesday, while also celebrating the upcoming renovations within the district.
The 30,000 square foot addition will expand Victor Haen Elementary School to allow northside students to attend the school for early learning.
The groundbreaking was initially scheduled for Monday, October 6, but was pushed back due to inclement weather.

The school’s addition was approved through the 2024 referendum.
After the ceremony, students took part in a special ‘touch-a-truck’ experience with Miron Construction, where they could explore equipment, meet operators, and even participate in a kid-sized groundbreaking activity.
