GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin Army National Guard put strength and stamina to the test today during a hand-on Fitness Challenge at its Green Bay Armory.
The interactive live event invited the public to step into a soldier’s boots and attempt the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT), the official measure of a soldier is readiness.
Phase 1 of East River Water Trail Project complete, next phase planned for 2026
Participants tackled five challenging events, the three-rep maximum deadlift, hand-release push-ups, plant, spirit-drag-carry, and two-mile run.
The National Guard designed the event to highlight the physical and mental toughness required of Wisconsin’s Citizen-Soldiers, who balance civilian life with their commitment to serve during state emergencies and overseas missions.
Guard leadership was on site to discuss the importance of fitness and readiness in supporting the Guard’s mission across Wisconsin and beyond.
