MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) — One person is dead and another is in custody following a shooting in Manitowoc early Tuesday morning.
According to the Manitowoc Police Department, officers were called around 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 23 to the 2400 block of Dewey Street for a reported disturbance between two men during which multiple gunshots were fired.
Wisconsin man arrested after shots fired during domestic incident
Police said one of the men was struck and transported by a private vehicle to the 1200 block of South 17th Street. Despite life-saving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other man remained at the Dewey Street location and was taken into custody.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Manitowoc Police Department.
Manitowoc Police Department actively investigating a “critical incident”

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say they are actively investigating what they are calling a “critical incident” on Tuesday morning in Manitowoc.
According to a release from the Manitowoc Police Department, the incident occurred in both the 2400 block of Dewey Street and the 1200 block of South 17th Street.
Suspect criminally charged following an officer-involved shooting in Wisconsin
Police are only releasing limited details at this time in order to “protect the integrity” of the investigation, which is actively ongoing.
Officials say there is no danger to the public at this time, but members of the community are asked to avoid both areas for the time being.
