FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities arrested a Fond du Lac man on 10 counts of possession of child pornography after a CyberTip led to the discovery of CSAM.
According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, authorities received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) on July 15, prompting an investigation.
Officers say the CyberTip alleged that a man living in Fond du Lac was suspected of sending money to a child in exchange for ‘explicit photographs.’ It was noted that the child lived outside of Wisconsin.
FDLPD immediately launched an investigation and identified the suspect as 35-year-old Wayne C. Bryan of Fond du Lac.
When Detectives contacted Bryan, the investigation reportedly led to the discovery of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on one of his electronic devices.
On July 23, Bryan was taken into custody on ten counts of possession of child pornography. Bryan is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.
During his initial court appearance on July 25, Bryan’s cash bond was set at $20,000 and a preliminary hearing was set for August 28.
