MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – The Manitowoc Police Department is rolling out a new tool to help reach areas that traditional squad cars can’t, a fully marked patrol UTV.
The police department says the new off-road vehicle is now part of regular patrol operations, giving officers the ability to respond to emergencies in tight or rugged spaces, including parks, trails, and other hard to access spots.

The vehicle has already been put to good use, according to a Facebook post from the police department, including a response to an e-bike crash in the dog run at Paws and Play Park off Maritime Drive.
The department thanked TA Motorsports and their Law Loan Program for making the new UTV possible through generous support.
