(WFRV) – A corrections officer in western Wisconsin was arrested on Sunday after his fiancée reportedly called authorities about a domestic abuse incident.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, on July 20, around 10:20 a.m., a call came in from a woman about a possible domestic incident involving her fiancé. While authorities were on way, it was reportedly discovered that the man involved is a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office employee.
The man was described as being a corrections officer. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office then asked for help from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office due to the conflict of interest.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office investigated the alleged incident and arrested the man. The man was identified as a 23-year-old living in the Melrose, Wisconsin area.
He was sent to the Trempealeau County Jail and charged with domestic-related battery, strangulation and disorderly conduct, the release said.
