Alabama Shakes' debut album has gone gold. The Recording Industry Association of America has just announced that Boys & Girls has sold over 500,000 copies. The album includes the hit song "Hold On," which was nominated for Best Rock Performance at last month’s Grammy Awards.

In other Shakes news, the band recently scheduled another round of headlining tour dates this summer. That trek begins on June 18 at the LC Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio, with Fly Golden Eagle and Hurray for the Riff Raff supporting the band on select dates.
